ZEELAND, Mich. — Herman Miller is excited to join forces with the architecture and design community throughout December to host We Care, an annual event series that benefits children from Boys & Girls Clubs of America across North America and Canada.  

Design industry leaders are helping children make handmade gifts to give to their loved ones this holiday season. Volunteers are attending We Care events in over 25 cities in the US and Canada or are participating virtually.  

In celebration of the 25th annual We Care events this year, Herman Miller Cares is hosting a donation campaign to expand their support of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. During the month of December, the company’s global corporate giving program will match donations, dollar for dollar, up to $20,000. Anyone interested in participating can donate through the campaign page.

“After a challenging year last year with COVID-19 impacting We Care events, we’re excited to start having volunteers interact with the children in person again,” said Peggy Michmershuizen, lead of We Care and Marketing Project Manager at MillerKnoll. “We hope that we can make this holiday season a little extra special for the children and their families.”   

Past We Care events have included up to 46 Herman Miller dealerships and 330 architecture and design firms in 30 cities, impacting nearly 7,000 children.    

“The We Care program is possible thanks to volunteers from A&D firms nationwide, Herman Miller and its family of brands, dealers and local suppliers who plan, prepare, and execute these events,” said Linda Brand, Executive Director of Herman Miller Cares. “This year will be our 25th year of We Care events and teams have remained committed to making a difference in these kids’ lives and I am so proud of how we all come together each year to create holiday cheer.”
