Our Impact
MillerKnoll has reduced more than one million pounds of single-use plastic packaging across its global operations since 2020 — the equivalent to the weight of 111 elephants.
This achievement includes eliminating or designing out 600,000 pounds of plastic packaging and converting an additional 400,000 pounds from virgin material to bio-based and recycled content. The initiative is part of MillerKnoll’s broader commitment to eliminate all single-use plastic packaging for MillerKnoll manufacturing sites by FY2030.
“Our work to rethink packaging is an important step toward a more sustainable future,” said Gabe Wing, Vice President of Sustainability at MillerKnoll. “By designing out waste and shifting to better materials, we’re reducing our environmental impact while maintaining the high-quality standards our customers expect.”
MillerKnoll’s sustainability efforts extend beyond packaging. The company is continuously exploring new ways to minimize waste, lower emissions, and increase circularity in its products and processes. This latest achievement underscores its dedication to creating a more sustainable future — one pound (or elephant) at a time.
