HOLLY HUNT Debuts New Handcrafted Furniture Collection

Chicago, IL | July 23, 2024 – Premier luxury design brand HOLLY HUNT is pleased to introduce Series II: a new collection of sculptural furniture created by the HOLLY HUNT Studio team, led by Executive Creative Director Jo Annah Kornak. Following the debut of the HH40 Collection last June, which commemorated the brand’s 40th anniversary, Series II continues the creative partnership between Kornak and Founder Holly Hunt. The seven new handcrafted designs for dining, living, and bedroom areas are a natural evolution of the HH40 narrative, balancing refined, architectural lines with organic and sensual shapes.

Series II represents a mindful melding of visionary design and contemporary craftsmanship. Each piece is artfully handcrafted in HOLLY HUNT’s American workshops using the highest-quality raw materials, such as American black walnut and architectural bronze. In true HOLLY HUNT fashion, the entire collection is defined by a quiet elegance, thanks to subtle yet impactful design details that enhance the beauty of each piece from every angle.

“This collection tells a story of materiality, craftsmanship, and quality – three fundamental values that have defined HOLLY HUNT’s legacy for the past 40 years and continue to guide our design ethos today,” says Jo Annah Kornak, SVP and Executive Creative Director of HOLLY HUNT. “Series II is expressive and forward-thinking while still remaining elegant and understated, from the unique hand-stitched details of the Polera Sofa to the contemporary, sculptural silhouette of the Banyan Dining Table.”

"This collection builds upon more than 40 years of unparalleled quality and visionary design,” says Marc Szafran, President of HOLLY HUNT. “Series II is a testament to Holly’s enduring legacy, and Jo Annah’s creative strategy, blending timeless elegance with contemporary innovation. Each piece reflects our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and sophisticated style, setting a new standard for livable luxury."

Series II will debut at HOLLY HUNT’s New York showroom and online at hollyhunt.com in July 2024 and will continue to roll out to additional HOLLY HUNT showrooms in the US and in London, UK into 2025.

The Series II collection includes:

Banyan Dining Table

The Banyan Dining Table is a robust statement piece inspired by its namesake tree’s sculptural trunks that split when new branches emerge. With a thin oval top and pedestal base combining solid American black walnut and hand-polished molded fiberglass, the table presents visual contrast while representing the ethos of growth.

Ban and Yan Side Tables

The Ban and Yan Side Tables are designed to nest, while also having enough visual presence to stand on their own. Inspired by the Banyan tree’s sculptural trunks, which split when new branches emerge, the tables feature an elegant base and thin oval top, providing an unexpected, modern silhouette. They’re available in lacquered, hand-polished, molded fiberglass or in American black walnut.

Polera Sofa

The Polera Sofa is the epitome of relaxed elegance, with its tall and narrow arms, plush seats, and low plinth base in solid American black walnut. Subtle hand-stitched details add to the visual lightness of this piece, which comes in a variety of configurations to fit a wide range of spaces – from a three-seat sofa to custom sectionals.

Ursa Lounge Chair

Crafted with solid wood wraparound arms and a floating upholstered seat, the Ursa Lounge Chair is a modern take on the classic club chair that’s cut, sewn, and tailored by hand. The elegant exposed anodized aluminum framework and solid American black walnut arms are paired with a tight seat and back upholstery that showcase precise single-needle topstitch tailoring. The result is reminiscent of early 20th-century French designs, creating a striking silhouette that adds a sculptural touch to any room.

Bravado Bed

The Bravado Bed embraces modern comfort and sophistication, defined by its strong lines, polished wood frame, and high-back headboard with enveloping wings. A combination of solid wood, hand-selected veneers, and upholstery with precise double-needle tailoring, the Bravado Bed is beautiful from all angles and brings a lightness and timeless grace to any setting.

Douro Nightstand and Cabine

The Douro Nightstand and Cabinet boast fluid lines and smooth silhouettes for a natural charm, like their namesake river region in Portugal. Notable features, such as architectural bronze metal details and hand-patinated shelf inserts, are as unexpected as they are luxurious.
