Our Impact
This June, we’re coming together to celebrate and uplift the LGBTQ+ community. Check out a few ways we’re celebrating Pride Month across the MillerKnoll collective:
Our MillerKnoll LGBTQ+ Equity Team is hosting events in our global spaces – from Portland to London. During these events, we’re discussing the value of inclusion, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and allies, and helping to raise funds for our charitable organization partners. Events will take place in showrooms and offices in Chicago, Dallas, London, Miami, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Portland, Seattle, Toronto, and Washington. The LGBTQ+ Equity Team is one of seven groups working to advance the understanding and inclusion of associates with a common background, set of interests, and shared goals. Equity Teams identify and break down inequitable systems that limit the success of all so that everyone has access and the opportunity to grow and thrive at MillerKnoll.
Knoll is introducing an exclusive Pride Petal End Table made to be donated to nonprofits to raise money through auctions. The exclusive tables, designed by Richard Shultz, will be donated to nonprofit organizations working to progress LGBTQ+ rights in communities worldwide. Selected in partnership with the MillerKnoll Foundation and LGBTQ+ Equity Team, the global nonprofit partners will use the tables to raise funds for their organizations through auctions. Nonprofits include OutRight Action International, Hetrick-Martin Institute, Lambert House, New Avenues for Youth, London Friend, Casa Frida Refugio LGBT+, and more. Herman Miller and DWR are continuing our partnership with OutRight Action International through the Pride Eames Hang-It-All. For each Hang-It-All sold, $25 is donated to OutRight Action International, a global nonprofit organization that’s mission is to support human rights and fundamental freedoms for LGBTQ+ people everywhere. MillerKnoll is also supporting OutRight’s Pride With A Purpose campaign this June to commemorate the history of Pride, celebrate progress, and draw attention to the ongoing challenges facing our communities around the globe.
