To showcase Settle, Muuto has built an outdoor space capturing and underlining the tangible impact of biophilia and outdoor spaces in our day-to-day lives. Nestled among the roofscapes of the city, the courtyard embodies Muuto’s examination of neuroaesthetics, more precisely the effect of nature and natural materials on our body and mind. Muuto Courtyard offers a pause and a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Settle Collection will be available globally from September and from January in North America.
In the two-floor showroom, Muuto presents, Shaping Ideas, an exhibition exploring Muuto’s core design values and the design process as a winding road. Set around a new release, Set Lamp by Jamie Wolfond, and two Muuto classics, Workshop Chair by Cecilie Manz, and Ply Rug by Margrethe Odgaard, the exhibition reveals the myriad of ideas, materials, and methods tried and tested to arrive at a final form, the design object we know and love.
The design process is a pivot to the launch and presentation of Muuto Design Contest, an open-call competition searching for new perspectives on accessories and small furniture for the modern home. On a continuous path to find and promote talents with a forward-thinking and mindful approach, Muuto seeks design proposals that elevate the everyday and challenge traditional notions of design. Adamant about supporting innovative ideas in the design industry, Muuto welcomes a diverse range of designs, be it a vase, stool, coat stand or an altogether new type of home object.
As per tradition, Muuto once again presents a newly redesigned showroom for 3daysofdesign, unfolding its versatile collection of furniture, lighting, and accessories for the home, office, and beyond. The showroom embodies Muuto’s vision for intentional spaces—that the use of color, form, light, and texture, to name a few, affects us and enables us to create spaces that feel good, or just right.
